Every Reflex

Having gone through three years of infertility treatments with no success in falling pregnant, I was fed up, in a bad state of mind and desperately looking for a way to relax and de-stress before moving on to the next stage.

Once I started reflexology sessions with Jackie I found my mind and body went to a different place. For the first time I felt I had an escape. After each session I felt energised, happy and able to have a peaceful night's sleep.

I had reflexology with Jackie during pregnancy after reading research suggesting that regular reflexology can reduce the amount of time spent in labour. The treatments were not only amazingly relaxing but they also helped dramatically with all the aches and pains associated with pregnancy. The combination of a lot of walking and regular reflexology prepared my body for labour and meant I was lucky enough to give birth in six hours, which is fantastic for a first baby! I was six months into my second pregnancy when I began reflexology with Jackie. She treated me every week and certainly helped me greatly to relax and cope with inflated legs and very sore feet. For maternity reflexology I think she is absolutely brilliant - she continues to treat me weekly since the birth of my daughter four months ago. I have suffered with severe PMT most of my life, the effects of which were mood swings, headaches, cramps and IBS - and I tried various treatments with little results. In a pre-menopausal state these symptoms were even more problematic and I started to see Jackie a week prior to my periods. Reflexology is a relaxing experience by itself but I was sceptical at first as to whether I would actually experience any relief from my menopausal symptoms.

I am absolutely amazed by the results. I have hardly any mood swings, feel generally well balanced and less stressed and the hot flushes and cramps have more or less stopped. I don't feel the need to take any HRT as the usual symptoms of the menopause seem to ease off with the help of reflexology. I was 39 weeks pregnant when I had my first reflexology massage and it was a very relaxing experience. I have seen Jackie for joint pain in my neck. Each session has produced such positive results. By manipulating my feet with her capable hands, I have felt a release from pain as if I'd had a deep muscle massage in the area.
